i reckon aussie hip hop is better than american rap in some instances simply because they don't rhyme about all the money they do/'hos' they fuck/drugs they take/niggas they shoot etc.

Not all american rap is bout that stuff, listen 2 talib kweli, alot of the kanye west shit ain't bout that 2. Its mostly the mainstream american rap thats about that stuff cos it sells records

yeah alot of rappers do that because it sells, even if they don't live it at all....joe budden used to be a drug addict, he grew up with stuff like that, even he doesn't exploit it as much as some rappers do......if u ever get a chance listen to joe budden's 'through and through' or 'walk with me' thats why i like him so much, his real, 'deep' and he ain't fake like most radio rappers.....that's why i like T.I too, he raps about stuff he knows, he grew up as a drug dealer, but he even has songs like 'be better than me' and 'i still aint forgave myself' that don't glorify what he did but trash-talk it and tell ppl to 'be better than him;

yeh those two that i mentioned or 'i still luv you' and 'praying for help' are his 'deep' songs....but 'still aint forgave myself' would prob be the most recommended, honestly one of the most honest and 'emotional' hip hop songs of the 21st century
