The telegraph is not as bad as Today Tonight and ACA.... it is better if people have at least some grasp of the issues rather than no clue at all.

The modern science of 'folding' may be of use to you.
------

The Australian and the SMH/AGE etc are the best papers.

The Australian with a gentle right wing bias and the SMH with a gentle left wing bias
It's too annoying to have to constantly be folding and unfolding it.

Exactly. That's the only reason i don't read SMH, cause it's too hard. Why can't they make it into a size similar to the Tele, that way, they may not have about a third the circulation that the Tele has.

And to those complaining about sport on the front page (especially this one), this was THE BIGGEST news story of the day. McGrath getting injured just before a test is STOP THE PRESS news, and it got the attention it deserves. The Ashes is the most important event in the world right now, so i am glad i read a paper which gives this event the credit it deserves

The Australian is great because it serves two purposes.
#1 - A useful source of news.
#2 - A blanket for hobo's.

ahhh, so very true.

If the SMH or the Australian was not broadsheet it would be much too thick for the average person.
So just put the most important things at the front and when people get bored they'll just stop reading it.
