I thought I was going to get like 90% man in the trial I got killed got like 62% which I thought was ver very poor...I have to get like 80% + in the hsc exam...My sis got 96% in 2003 hsc in busio so she is helping me a bit! Any one else got advice for some much needed sucess in business? I even have choosen a career in business next year well marketing as I feel its good for me so I need a confidence boost with a good hsc score in this sub ...

I didn't do commerce so I'm pretty happy at how I went at business and legal so far at school :)

Advice:
Download the syllabus
Make notes
Study the notes
Multiple choice database on Board of studies-test urself
Maybe do practice past papers? - I don't do that one though- Doesn't help me
but every1s different.

Me!! :) Loved it. Don't worry my current teacher doesn't really teach the syllabus contents. He just raves on about Qantas and all these cases.

But is shouldn't matter should it? I mean with business there is nothing to get or understanding. Its just basically memorize o_O

i thought it was the stupidist subject at school

IF you want to sell a pen for profit...make the selling price higher than the buying price!!!!!

revelation.

haha I actually hated Commerce in yr10... I also sucked at it. I would hardly pay attention in class.... dunno why I chose Business. But for some reason, I like Business. Maybe cuz I have a great teacher?

And the ironic thing is, i'm now planning to do B.Commerce in Uni.

oh commerce was so awesome! most of the lessons were spent in a huddle with my friends playing cards or some game like sos or naughts and crosses. not everyone had a book for the whole year(and those that did most of it wasnt comerce), and the best part is that we still did good in it!:D

ahh memories...i like commerce much better than business.

I guess that's true- but I too realise that in yr12 business was no longer about ideas and thinking of solutions but rather- just using the knowledge of the syllabus.

On the upside I was at my peak in Commerce/Business Studies in the time which mattered for job interviews *phew*

did commerce Years 8-10. I came 2nd everytime, you have no idea how frustrating that was >_<

imo Commerce should actually become a compulsary subject in years 7-10. Everybody needs to be informed on things such as household budgets, the legal system, employment relations etc. These are all vital skills and information needed for everyday life...

^ Agreed. It's really important stuff learning about consumer rights and how stores can manipulate people using things like music, placement, layout, etc..

Me, me, me!! :D

LOVED year 9/10 commerce and LOVE business studies!

I love how many aspects of this course involve practical applications. Most of the theory is pretty interesting as well. The worst part is accounting though...
