Also, depending on your size - it doesn't matter if you eat large portions, i sure know i eat more compared to the average person, but i do enough work to keep it off. Portion size is based off your based of your capacity to use it, there is no 'set portion'. a 40 kg girl compared to a 100kg guy have very different calorie needs.
But i digress. Commonsense prevails here. as always.
*cries*...that is so true....my dad is the type that can eat anything & usually not gain weight...all his family are like that.
On my mum's side...half of them are skinny & tall & the others are short & stumpy...i just HAD to get to get mum's side!!!!
Stupid european blood......lol

I've tried the protein diet so i ate heaps of stuff high in protein especially white egg omlettes (no yolk) so i had no carbs for weeks... and i craved a burger everytime i see people eating maccas and potatoe chips!

Of course with exercise it worked wonderfully and now i have a collar bone that sticks out.

I'm off the diet now thank goodness !

i wouldnt call mine a diet; just a way to live i suppose.

eat healthy
everything in moderation.
cut off eating at the same time every night.
two pieces of fruit a day
two litres of water a day (more if you want)
and exercise regularly and consistently.

there is no magic formula but just figure out what works for you.
common sense is a good tool to use.

but thats me

I'm on the food diet. It basically involves eating food. Working well so far.

edit: really though you don't need to diet to be healthy. Just don't eat too much crap and get off the couch occasionally and invest in parents with good genes and you'll be fine.

For a diet to *work*, you need to think: will I and can I do it for the rest of my life? If it's too unpracticable to be exercised for long, then.. it won't really *work*

Gotta ask urself: I starve myself today, will I be able to starve myself for the rest of my life? If not, don't bother starving urself today because chances are the calories lost will be "recouped" very soon.
