Hi

I just wanted to know the reason why Biology is viewed as a low scaling subject? Is it because it's all rote learning?

Cheers

Scaling has nothing to do with whether a subject is rote learning or not, it is all relative, biology may be low scaling compared to other science subjects such as Chemistry and Physics, but it is quite high scaling compared to subjects like senior science. As long as you do well enough in any particular subject, you won't be pulled down even by low scaling subjects.

They say that because they don't have a genuine interest in it. If you do, it's easy to get high marks in.
