Yeah.. I don't even know where the MQ centre is in relation to the uni, but I hope to soon find out and spend all my hard earned (minimum) wages :)

The MQ Centre is on the east side of the uni.

Yeah, epping would be better as a station to get off rather than eastwood.

Epping to Macq Uni, 8 mins, 63c (student concession travel 10)

Epping to Macq C entre, 9-10mins, $1.26 ( " )

So yep...lot faster/cheaper.

So what, I just ask for a travel 10 to a specific destination or what?

no, it is not destination-based, its based on sections. You get different cards depending on how far your destination is.

If it is from around Epping to Macquarie, then you probably need a 'section 6-9' travel ten card, which is about 12$. I have this and i can travel from kissing point/Kirby street bustop to maquarie and that is about 8 sections.

Instead of saying a section 6-9 travel ten card, just ask for a 'red' travel ten card, maximum 9 sections :/

EDIT: ok, i just read the other posts and apparently epping is a lot closer than i thoguht, so maybe you can get a cheaper ticket, say max 6 section :/

from MQ uni to epping station is 2section
from MQ centre to epping is more than 2sections!!!!

Yep. Epping to uni is 2 sections - anything up to 2 sections is the minumum.

Epping to centre would logically follow as 3 sections - (SIBT is the last of the 2 sections). And because u pay in brackets the costs goes up double (2 dips "technically"). You can get fined for not dipping enough (unlikely for epping to macq uni/centre, but watch out for Para to Uni!).

You need to buy a blue student travel 10. At uni you can get it from the SAM post office thingy place opposite the SAM shop. I woulda thought the signs saying: WE SELL TRAVEL 10s woulda given it away. Also: Mac Centre newsagent, any train station and the York St bus terminal just from memory.

CP - 6 to 9? WTF are u smoking?! Epping is just down the road. It's the closest "proper" suburb near uni kids!

hahahhaha

g2g
i got caught for centre -> station by dipping it only once
the bus driver stopped the bus like 2stops before the station and said
"mate, your ride is over, epping station is another dip!"

and later he said he was "off duty" or else he would have fined me..lol
hate it when u catch the bus around 9 at night

Yeah I got caught on that that trip too, 100. But then again, I had dipped it once when i needed to dip 3 or 4 times.

CC Jnr - Wow...pretty harsh. The worst I got was the bus driver at mac centre asking 'where are you going', and making me dip twice. I used to remember when night times were when u didn't have to buy train tickets cos there were no inspectors and the ticketing gates were always opened.

yea well

cos when i catch it from MQ centre, its usually after lunch time when its crowded and the bus driver don't know whats going on and stuff
so i always though it was only one dip cos everyone i saw only dipped it once!!

but then i had assignments to do that night and went to MQ centre for dinner later
needless to say, there was only like 3ppl on the bus all the time
lol, easy catch
