Wait so they don't mark it separately....?
And also what's the link between ext 2 and ext 1 then?
They do mark it separately...ext 1 just helps cause it so well scaled it serves as 1 unit of backup However if you do ext 2 maths ext 1 becomes 2 units and the scaling will be even more ridiculous.

I don't think that was what the OP was asking though.

Maths 2U and 3U are separately marked, separately aligned, and separately scaled. Doing well in one doesn't guarantee doing well in the other.
