Will i be able to reach my goals? Motivation please. (1 Viewer)

Okay, so I recently finished by half yearly exams and now the results are starting to be given out. I probably prepared for these exams the best I ever have but... I think these are the worst HY results I've gotten. I have included my exam results and my assessment task/assignment results in case it makes it easier for you to answer my questions below.

Assessment task 1 results:
Mathematics (87%)
Chemistry (87%)
Biology (79%)

HY Exam results:
Mathematics (65%)
Chemistry (55%)
Biology (65%)

I haven't received my ranks for these subjects but I can approximately say that I'm in the top half of the cohort. The HY results worry me because they seem very average. In these subjects I'm aiming for Band 6's or very high Band 5s. Do you think that's still a reasonable goal for me or should I lower my expectations? What kind of results would I need here on to reach those goals?

Also, how do you guys stay motivated without the "But I studied so hard" feeling dragging you down?

You'll be fine so long you stay in the top half of your cohort. Try to aim for at least 4th place if not 1st 2nd or 3rd. Ranking is important. Not your marks.
