Ok with the Simpson Rule, when there is an area with 3 lines | | | you can just simply use the formula. When there is 5 lines like | | | | | you can use the formula twice and add it together. BUT will they ask you to find the area of a place with 4 lines | | | | Because if so how would you answer that without adding the middle bit of land twice? (I hope this makes sense, if not I'll make some diagrams)

You'll be asked to apply Simpson's Rule twice. No more or less than that. Certainly no complications. Trapezoidal rule won't come into it.

Yes, certainly didn't have more than 2 applications or less in last years HSC paper. Would be rather sneaky if they changed it for this years HSC group as I am sure that most wouldn't know what to do unless they dropped from 2unit.
