nah, go ahead, use it.

if they didn't want others using it, motherfuckers should have put a lock on it.

FREE NET! WOO!
Why would it be a penalty? If they wanted to secure their net they could have set a wep/wpa key on it. It would be a penalty though if you hack a secured net.
I used to have unsecure net with a 2gb download limit. Next thing you know i'm capped LOL, secured it now though. :D MWAHAHAS

I did it to my neighbor for a total of 13months! Then they moved:mad1:

Just go for it, how can they find out? Could be any of the surrounding houses..

i wouldn't recommend hacking into other peoples net.. ive heard you can get virus' and spyware- some people leave theres unsecure.. so inturn they can hack into your computer, which is pretty smart..

1. Its NOT hacking.. its connecting to a router..
2. I doubt you would be at any more risk than being on your net.

use it but be careful.

you dont want to use up their whole internet usage downloads in a couple hours and then have them asking questions.

perhaps use it to watch youtube videos.

I didnt mean physically going around and asking.

I meant you dont want them asking themselves "hey, we used 4 gigs of downloads yesterday except no one was home. maybe someone else is using our internet connection. perhaps we should protect our network." etc

That makes sense, but then again, if the person isnt that tech savvy to kow how to protect their network in the first place, whose to say they now how much DL's they have left?

If you're gonna spam YouTube, might not want to watch too many videos. A 5 minute clip generally amounts to around 15-20 megabytes, ultimately depending on the quality of the video.
But yeah, I generally don't use my neighbour's internetz until I'm capped (usually the last week or so).
