How difficult is it combining 15 hours of work + full time study?

Is it even possible to maintain, while also having a good social life?

Or do i have to dramatically reduce social life / sleeping time / free time??

I work about 13 hours a week during semester
Of course its possible, but then again it depends on what degree you do...I have about 13 hours of uni, 13 hours of work a week, then the rest is whatever..sleep, study, socialise

It isn't hard, no matter the degree. The distance between your home, uni and work may make it more difficult for some, although if you manage your time I can't see any problems with a 15 hour working week and full time study.

depends on what u call a full time degree. My sisters full time degree involves 12 hours a week, while mine involves 27 hours per week. i worked about 15 hours per week this year, and it was ok, i managed. but dont forget to factor in travel time if u are working after uni, city rail is very unreliable.

assume that you have 4 subjects with 2 hour lectures and 1 or 2 hour tutorials give or take. your looking at between 12 and 16 hours.

its possible to combine work plus full time study, i did it with relative ease. however come exam time, its a different story for some.

I know people that does, is it true you can make your own schedule? Or am i misled?

I'm heaps worried, about the work load.

Is it significant amount of work? Ahhhh, i'm not confident seriously

I'm probably going to study in Brisbane, still deciding.

Mainly because is more relaxing.

in most cases 4 subjects means 4 days at uni, so you usually have a day off. the work load however depends on the course itself. if you dont fall behind, the work load isnt that bad.

If you pick one, which is worse, for Commerce (about 15hr week)

HSC or Uni

Most courses fall into 11-21 hour weeks and have an easy workload first year (2nd and even 3rd in some cases). The greatest exceptions are courses that focus on a science profession.

15 hours is easy. Though chance may have it that your work schedule coincides with your friends' free time :O

Generally speaking, yes...but the thing is-they basically just schedule lectures anywhere they will fit. It may so happen that all the lectures are fit into 3 or 4 days...or they may so happen to be spread out over 5 days. It's however is most convenient for the uni overall.
