wtfs with all this spam? (1 Viewer)

ok i just checked my gmail then to find out i have had this constant flow of spam into my inbox since about 10am today! and its in inbox, not spam, and usually gmail detects allll spam
has anyone else had this problem?

(btw why are images turned off in this forum?)

Have you signed up for anything recently? Or accidentally subscribed yourself to something?

It's strange that it'd occur in this magnitude straight away. Perhaps you should open one and see what it's linking to, and then google it?

nah i havent signed up for anything recently...... especially not anything in german, i can't even read it haha

Looks like mass gmail spam (which you can create filters to move to different folders; although that seems to just move the problem) - or perhaps someone used your address to sign you up for stuff.

Back to hotmail perhaps - or just make a new gmail with a more unique address.

I have 3 german spam messages in my spam section.

SO yeah definately looks like a massive spam attack from the germans!

I got 245 spam emails today alone.

Some of them are from usyd adresses, but they are all in german.

What the fuck?

Email Spam is really random. I used to get it all the time on my hotmail so I made a new email. I've had this email for a long time, 3 years maybe and I have signed up to a huge amount of random crap and still no spam.

I got 3 German spams in my Gmail inbox folder, another 2 went into the Spam folder. I rarely encounter spams in Gmail since i got it last year, including these 5, the total spams i recevied in Gmail are only 10. Compare to 15 spams each day on Hotmail.
