i'd really appreciate it if someone could clear this up for me. in my trial, our question for WW/Malouf was on humanity's feeling of sophistication over nature but how they can never really escape the need for the wild (or something like that :p). in a question like this...or any question really, is it ok to mention the ideas in poems of his other than the prescribed ones - not to talk about in detail, but just in passing reference to back up your argument etc. for example, in the above question, i was going to mention how the way he views the interaction between humanity and nature, whilst fairly constant in the set poems, is not by any means constant throughout all his poetry (eg Standing on Westminster Bridge). i didnt end up doing it cos i wasnt sure if it was acceptable or not. so, does anybody know if it is ok - providing u dont go into too mch detail and still focus on the prescribed texts?
