Hey there, welcome to BOSHey guys, just new to this forum too. Prelim courses for me are Mathematics extension 1, Advanced English, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Studies of Religion 2 unit. HSC courses are Mathematics Extension 2, Advanced English, Physics, Studies of Religion 2 Unit. I'm aiming for 90-95 ATAR and want to do Civil/environmental/mining engineering at UNSW.

Hey there!Hello, I've been around and made a few posts but not one officially yet. I'm going to a new school this year so hopefully that'll turn out nice First time in a selective!! I got into one of the traditionally need-a-lot-of-ecs schools but I don't actually really do many ECs...I only do a couple maths and science competitions (do these count? lol), and I'm in debate and a peer support leader. That's it...
For prelim I'm doing Ext 1 English (compulsory), Ext 1 Maths, Chem, Econs, Heritage Chinese Will definitely drop Ext Eng in Year 12 but I'm not sure what I want to do for HSC or after HSC yet. Nice to meet you!
Martial arts, parkour, tricking, lion dance, body building, guitar, piano. Shouldve applied for src because one of the current is a knob. Probably will allocate at least 4 hours a week for tricking but others, definitely not... sad i'll have to leave but I will be back after hscs so its not too bad! What extracurricular do you guys all do? Are you going to continue them in your senior years?
My god you're a tricker? What skills you got bro?Martial arts, parkour, tricking, lion dance, body building, guitar, piano. Shouldve applied for src because one of the current is a knob. Has anyone started taking their studies 'more seriously'? dead set, I've just been reading my allocated texts for English, memorising a few mathematical formulas and practicing past papers once in a while and amongst other general things for my subjects... the call of bottom 10 is strong rn... not proud of my progression
Love the piano :3, sometimes I imagine myself in a huge concert hall as I play ^^Continue piano! It'll be worth it trust me.
Welcome to BOS. Don't worry the fact that you made it to that school says it all hahah.Hello, I've been around and made a few posts but not one officially yet. At first I thought it was just gymnastics but with really bad form but after looking at some tricking vids, it's actually a really cool sport which draws a lot from martial arts and all sorts of acrobaticsdafuq is tricking?
is it next level trolling or something?
Backflips, c720s, 540s, backhandsprings, pop 360s, proper hooks, cart fronts + variations of those, btwist. Need to step it up but ceebs, saving energy for senior then going hard during uni.My god you're a tricker? What skills you got bro?
You don't really need to atm imo. I spent most of my time during these holidays just chilling tbh.Backflips, c720s, 540s, backhandsprings, pop 360s, proper hooks, cart fronts + variations of those, btwist. Need to step it up but ceebs, saving energy for senior then going hard during uni.
Thank god you didn't say it was similar to parkour. I would give you a 6 page essay on what it is and its history but no.
Butt seriously tho guys, anyone started seriously putting their heads down and studying?
If you "just chilled" these holidays, and you got a 98. It really gives me hope I can achieve a 94 hahaha but then again you might be really talented..You don't really need to atm imo. I spent most of my time during these holidays just chilling tbh.
If you really wanted to, I'd say reading English texts and doing Maths would be your best bet.
Nah bro. You just need to put some consistent effort in and you'll get results. If you "just chilled" these holidays, and you got a 98. It really gives me hope I can achieve a 94 hahaha but then again you might be really talented..

I think those who are seriously putting their heads down and studying usually won't openly admit they are, because they are likely to underestimate the amount of work they are doing to make sure they continue to have a competitive edge. I think the best thing you can do is to start some serious studying-or prepared to do some serious studyingBackflips, c720s, 540s, backhandsprings, pop 360s, proper hooks, cart fronts + variations of those, btwist. Well I have gotten most of the concepts we're going to learn in the syllabus down but I just don't feel the pressure in preliminaries so far. I haven't locked my room for 6 hours straight and crammed like hell so I guess im not too serious yet, unlike most of my friends who brags about having 3 hour long sessions... and here I am with my lowely 1 1/2 hours...I think those who are seriously putting their heads down and studying usually won't openly admit they are, because they are likely to underestimate the amount of work they are doing to make sure they continue to have a competitive edge.
