Please show working ^^
Q3 Sketch the ODD unction that has
  • f(0)=0
  • asymptotes at x= +-2
  • when x<-2, f(x)<0
  • when -2<x<0, f(x)>0
  • as x approaches negativity infinity, f(x) approaches 0

Q2 A car travels 90km from Town A to Town B on a bearing of 074 degrees True Bearing and then travels 120km to Town C on a veering of 140 degrees True Bearing.
a) Find the distance of AC
b) Find the bearing of Town A from Town C

Q3/ If you start from the negative side (x<0), then:
When x<-2, the f(x)<0 but also as x->infinity, then f(x)->0 so thus you have a hyperbola with x=-2 and y=0 being your asymptotes.
For -2<x<0, the f(x)>0 and it passes through the origin. Also, it must approach the asymptote of x=-2, therefore you get half a parabola.
Since the function is odd, whatever you have on the negative side, just flip it and then reflect it about the y-axis. I attached my graph below (pree dodgy lol)

I've had a go at the trigonometry question. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

How did you get 16 degrees, I don't think the questions that generous to have line x perpendicular to A. I used the cosine rule instead to solve. C^2=a^2+b^2-(2*abcosC) then solve using cosine rule again to find angle C.
