Hey everyone, I'm kinda new to the boardofstudies community page, and I'm looking forward to being on here while also contributing/being apart of this community :)

I'm currently in Year 11 and I'm not exactly sure how many hours I should be studying for this year and as well for Year 12 (HSC).

Here's a draft of my study timetable, I'm usually flexible with it and I change it up whenever necessary.

My subjects are: 3U Mathematics, 2U Advanced English, Biology, Physics, Geography, Business Studies
I usually have 4-5 subjects everyday besides Thursday where I have every single subject.

Also, I've been told that the new curriculum for Geography, Business Studies, and 3U Mathematics is not set in place yet and we'll be the last ones doing the old curriculum for these subjects, is this true?

Thanks in advance.

Feel free to check out my study guide for more detailed tips-http://community.boredofstudies.org/128/preliminary-hsc/317056/how-excel-senior-year-studies-yr-11-12-99-atar-graduate.html

In general it is about how much you get done in your study session rather than how long you study, sorry I can't answer the curriculum stuff-but you are probably best to ask your teachers because I think students who give you advice will have heard it from their teachers as well. Good luck for your senior studies and welcome to BoredofStudies.

AFAIK it's true for Mathematics, at least. http://educationstandards.nsw.edu.a...ths-advanced-extension-1-extension-syllabuses

Study however much you need to learn the content (and to memorise information if needed). If you're naturally good at the subject you don't need to study as much.

Thanks for the advice! Just one thing though.

Should I be writing study notes throughout the week while doing regular homework and then memorising those study notes and doing practice questions on the weekend? Or should I incorporate some of the information memorising throughout the week?

Thanks in advance.
