BTW do you have any notes or tips for conics?
Really hating it right now
Conics isn't a topic that can ~specifically~ be taught because the majority of it just draws from techniques and methods learnt in 3U and even 2U.
The only thing that actually needs to be learned are perhaps the formulas like PS = ePM and foci coordinates etc.
If you see something like "Find the locus drawn when these two lines are perpendicular", then simply get the gradients and multiply them, then let them be -1!
Once you've gotten the hang of conics, it really isn't that difficult. Some of the Question 7/8 conics actually used nothing else apart from the Sine rule a couple of times and maybe the use of PS=ePM and algebra manipulation, but nothing that a good Year 10 student can't do.
They are all very do-able because like I said, the techniques required aren't really that difficult (with the exception of a few) and can easily be taught.
The hard part is recognising when to use what, but that comes with experience and doing a lot of problems.
