can someone tell me what they learn in year6 now? i have my first student and i have to know what they are learning at the moment...please i need a reply quick... i would appreciate it if there was a link to an external source of what they learn...

I'm not sure as to what they learn. You could always give them sample questions and see what they are able to do. All I can remember from year 6 is learning long division.

When I was in year 6 maths was all about long division and multiplication, fractions etc. I doubt the syllabus would've changed much since then.

The very hardest thing I remember doing was basic algerbra. Just learning that letters can replace numbers etc. Mostly long division and multiplication, dealing with remainders...
