hey wat about internal transfers minai?
its easier coz they dont look at UAI aye?

so after i do the formula thingy and my result comes out to be lets say say 90.5

my chances of transfering back to syd is quite low right??!!??

yeah internal transfers are much easier since they jus usually look at ur first year/semester results - macq apparently is very easy to transfer..jus get passes and credits and u can transfer to anything there

well that depends on the NRSL cutoff - I suggest u inquire at USYD about the NRSL cutoff for 2004 (after Jan 19th) so u can have an indication of how hard u need to work in ur 1st yr in uni

ok, i got a UAI of 73.30, and the course i ultimately want to get into needs a cutoff of around 90, so what am i gunna hafta get in furst yr to transfer?

EDIT: i want to transfer from science at newy to occupational therapy at newy...oh and im a 2003 student, so i dunno if im in yet or not

well, u'll need a lot of Distinctions and High Distinctions..thats for sure..if u got D's for half ur subjects and HD's for the other half of ur subjects, ur GPA will be 6.5, equating to a selection rank of 99.5 - which equates to an NRSL rank of about 87, which should be enough for u to transfer
but who knows really, since they dont release these NRSL cutoffs - u have to inquire to the individual uni's

however, its always smart to check with the uni about any internal transfer policies that may make the transfer easy to gain

OT at newcastle is around the 90s, sydney, western sydney and csu is around 80

FUCK i should haf went to MAcquarie then if its easy to transfer.. arghh too late.. BUGGA !!!!
