I think I want to do a B.Eng(Mech) at either UNSW or USYD, but I would take UTS. The cutoff will probably be 85ish.

I'm only doing mathematics as well, so I would have a bridging course to do.
I know at USYD, you need to first year and second year maths for engineering. There are three streams of maths, but they require you to do maths that has maths ext. 1 as a prerequisite.

I wanna go to either UNSW, USYD or UTS. These three are the closest unis (and the best) to me. I just have to work on that uai...the first digit should better be a nine.

Do you guys really WANT to do finance?

I mean, I dont know what you like, but do you actually want to do it, or is it just parental pressure?

I mean, I reckon I'm the hot shit when it comes to numbers, but I cant see myself holed up doing tax accounts.

I just wanna fly people on a plane.

Theres a lot more to commerce/finance than tax accounts and whatnot - actually thats a very small (and boring) part.
It's a bit like saying you wouldn't want to be a doctor because you don't want to just be sticking needles in people.

I agree with you there drewgcn. Don't judge a course by it's stereotypical view.

your 2007 uni courses
Huh?!

I don't think I ever looked at courses 2 years ahead.

I think I was looking at becoming an actuary in about year 11, but have only really now begun to decide what I want to do at uni. And even now I'm not entirely sure that I want to 100% do the course listed in my sig.

Bachelor of Commerce/Law 99.6 (USyd) - this will not happen.

Bachelor of Commerce/Law 99.35 (UNSW) - same as above.

Bachelor of Commerce (liberal studies) 97.15 - USyd

Bachelor of Commerce 95 - UNSW

Bachelor of Commerce 93 (I think?) - USyd. Only as a last resort. :(
