Unlimited money - Which car?

Given the chance to own any car in the world... what would it be and why?

Re: Unlimited money - Which car?

I believe we already have a dream car thread.

Unlimited money clearly allows for multiple cars and also various custom works.

I think some awesome cars are:
BMW M3 CSL
Enzo
Veyron
Z-tune skyline
AC Cobra
Shelby mustang gt500 or somesuch eg from gone in 60 seconds (there is a special model based on this)
Ford GT(40)
Lotus exige

Novel ideas:
The renault F1 drivetrain inside a little minivan, saw on a car show - looks fun.

Customs:
My Volvo: lowered 2inches, stiffer shocks and springs, convert to either Lexus V8 twin turbo etc or RB26DETT (and ditch twins for one big one, and maybe mate to RB30 bottom end), supra box, skyline diff.
AC Cobra shell mated to EVO drivetrain
Original (KPMG??) skyline with new skyline drivetrain
Old mini with a H22 eg V-tech DOHC honda engine with a turbo
Old mustang styled aka gone in 60 seconds take drivetrain from FordGT(40)/new mustang
Old 240Z with RB26DETT oh and jet black
Race purpose 142 Volvo
New RX-8 engine worked + turbo into an older RX7 shell
SR20 Turbo into MX5
Supra drivetrain into early nineties straight body camry
Viper V10 into new GTS monaro
Porshe GT3 drivetrain into old VW beetle and also old kombi (they have the exact same drivetrain, wheelbase etc)

That mostly exhausts my whacky ideas for now.

It seems you're projects have more detail than mine, all quite nice. Also noted the volvo love, my younger brother (sports pack 244) is looking at heading that way though has to be turbo-free for now.

I have too much time for daydreaming, I think. Yeah, the Volvo love is burning strong, I can't believe how many people overlook their potential (esp. the turbos). And as you yourself know, the 2 series can be a fun and dynamic machine even without the turbo - I reckon your brother has chosen a great base to build upon. He could go for the larger block lets say a B230 instead of the B21, and a nice 'K' or 'A' cam respectively, and he's laughing. Or go nuts with the penta, B234F head, Holset, EMS... The latter reliably does 300kW. Talk about a red light ego deflater...

Damn, I've got Volvo on the brain now.

Re: Unlimited money - Which car?

It would have to be a Bugatti Beyron, but since that's highly impractical for daily use, a Bentley Continental GT sounds nice.

Re: Unlimited money - Which car?

hmmm, i dont know, ill would buy alot...an aston martin for sure (db9, vantage, vanqush and that DBS they are planning to make, oh and the DBR9), a lambo i like the new mucielago, a ferrari enzo, a carrera GT, then the ford GT...in convertible...how hot is that!, cant forget a veyron.

and older cars, start with mclaren F1, a old corvette form the late 50s to early 60s, an aston DB5, ferrari f40, lamborghini muria and diablo.

those are just cars i can think of, if i had the money i would see a car i like, then jsut buy it.

Re: Unlimited money - Which car?

I think the IS250 looks alright but I still have prejudices against Lexus... it still screams "I'm an overpriced Toyota with heaps of gimmicks" to me.
