I remember a lot of people being annoyed about missing out a question in science... and I realised I hadn't done it either. I know it's sad but I do remember them describing the question as asking you to draw a table and you had to categorise which things from a list were abiotic and which were biotic... and I was spewing cause it seemed easy.

I haven't been dwelling on it for the past two years if that's what you mean lol! When I read the post I just remembered, that's all. When you stuff up a question (especially worth so many marks) you are more likely to remember it imo. I can't remember any other questions from the SC.

Besides, it's not that important. I just remember- no big deal!
I didn't carve it in my arm or anything, but something as stupid and careless as that deserves to be bitterly remembered. I could have easily had 94, not that it matters cause it was just the SC. :p

yeah I did better in SC, it was easy as tho, I mean, I didn't really study all that much. I got all band 6s in SC and all band 6,bar 2u maths in which I got 89 (funny thing is I got 45/50 for maths ext 1 = 90/100 :S). But yeah, SC was heaps easier to do well in, heaps of my friends did no study for SC and got high 90s, whereas if they did that for the HSC I daresay they wouldn't do half as well!

ok here's something funny..........

you know i'd like to compare my sc and my hsc that is if i HAD DONE MY SC!
thats right i didn't even do a school certificate.

After years of touring the country side i compleated yr 10 and yr 11 in QLD but moved at the end of year 11.......now here comes the tricky part..... so i had to go back to year 10. I turned up the week of the SC but i didn't have to sit it, and in qld there is no equivelent its just the end of year 12 which means......

i shouldn't have been allowed to do the hsc, after endless letters to the BOS they eventually let me but naturally there was anger over my easy acces into senior school........

but at the end of the day i did it and got a band 6 in a subject to boot.... and my only punishment was an extra year of high school, ahhhhh such is life.........

and yes there is a moral to this tale...

to all those who did badly in sc....never fear it really makes no reflection on your on ur HSC....

lol (my story really didn't make sense......)

Significant Improvement

SC Results:
2 Band 6s, 3 Band 5s

HSC Results:
4 Band 6s, 2 Band 5s

Comparative:
English - dropped from 84 in SC to 83 in HSC
Maths - Same for SC & Math Ext, increase from 92 to 95 in Mathematics
Science - Increase from 85 in SC to 92/93 for Chem & Physics in HSC

HSC is much harder but I studied more for it

SC: 1 band 6 (96 in english), all rest were mid band 5s.

HSC: All band 6s. I think I gave more of a damn this time around.

Way better in SC
3 Band 6's, 2 band 5's. Average mark of 89 or something.

HSC was 3 band 4's, 1 band 3, 2 band E2's.....

What a downfall

SC versus HSC:

Maths: 84 versus 94 (both for Maths and Maths Ext 1)
English: 87 versus 89
Science: 88 versus 92 (Bio) and 87 (Chem) --> average of Bio and Chem gives me 89.5=90 rounded up

So, an overall improvement

2U Maths - 65 (struggled with processes and formulas)

Looks like my bludging had less of an effect in the SC LOL

god, i'm actually completely opposite to most of you.
SC: 2 band 6's, 3 band 5's
HSC: All band 6's
goes to show, sc doesn't mean anything!

I can't quite remember my SC results, but these are pretty close:

English: 86
Science: 85
Maths: 87
Geography: 83
History: 78

HSC:
English: 87
Drama: 95
Ext 1 English: 46/50
Ext 2 English: 50/50
Modern History: 94
History Extension: 48/50
SOR: 45

So I went from 78 for history, to 94 for modern history and 48/50 in history extension- 10th rank in the state. Shows you just how much the SC means.
