If you guys could help a newbie out- it'd be greatly appreciated.
Basically...which course?
business administration/accounting
or
Applied finance/accounting

It's really the accounting degree I'm valuing since I want to take a shot into transferring to accounting/law...

Any advice would be great-!
Thanks in advance!

For law you'll be looking to transfer end of this year until end of second year.

let me ask you...
suppose you don't make the law quota.. what would you prefer doing? applied finance or business admin? if it doesn't bother you and you are only concerned with the accounting degree, why not just stuff the double and do b. comm- accg??

oh and you can always take up post grad law when you finish your degree. so maybe accounting would be wise if you decide to, considering it is a year less....

AsyLum: True that, but wouldn't hurt too much to try right? (please dont say otherwise)

Sweet Lemon: I totally agree they should create the BBA/appfin/accounting degree- it would be targetted at indecisive people who like screwing themselves over (I would make a perfect candidate T . T) btw "lei si doi loy" unless ur mando...then Im stuffed~

jIh: ...because...I want...to do...a double...degree....- but thanks for bringing the subject of post grad law, checked up on it and it sounds potentially doable- Thankyou

Again, thanks for the comments- most likely will end up with BBA/accounting.
Btw if any of you guys have any Books to sell could u email me on Ice_hinako@hotmail.com. Again much appreciated.

Ahh the MBA. The most prized of all degrees...for big pay rises anyway. lol. I would like to do one at AGSM after a few years in the workforce but law firms hate people doin em (they're scared that once the employee gets an MBA they'll leave to take up one of the 6 figure salary jobs dangled at them). Plus already having a BBA...getting an MBA might be overkill.

oh and if you didn't already know, you do an MBA, you'd have to gain experience in the industry. you can't just apply straight out of uni...

MBA is still considered post grad. but you don't normally do them at a uni.. you do them at a grad school.. like MGSM or AGSM...

the MBA degrees are really highly regarded. they have their own GRAD SCHOOL within some uni's.. macquarie has Macquarie Graduate School of Management... .. usyd and unsw have their joint Australian Graduate School of Management... i don't think you can get a HECS place so you gotta pay upfront..

where as master courses are taught within universities.. that why you notice some subjects go beyond the 300 level units...
