Does anyone know how to find out how much money you have made in the past yr or so? cos i wanna apply for youth allowence and i have to have made 17 thousand $ in the past 18mths but im not sure exactly. any help much appreciated.

But ive had at least three employers in that time and i dont work at them all nemore. thats y. i thought i could find out thru the ato maybe or the bank? if anyone has done this let me know, its for the independant status thing.

Add up all the credits in your bank account.

Go through all your statements, and anytime you see a CR that was for work pay, add it.

get ur tax statement or what ever it is.. that they should be giving you near tax time so u can fill in ur tax forms

Get your group certificates from each employer
(you'll need them for tax anyway).
This is why payslips are good to keep...fuck I hate tax time.

Why would you need to earn money to get social security money?

I thought ur meant to be poor to get youth allowance.

Earning above $240 per fortnight would make them reduce ur "income bank". Then when ur income bank reaches $0 they would stop paying you youth allowance.
