I dunno about this....Do you have to do extension units? Like is it really going to help with ur uai marks. Or is it just something to make ur marks in eng and maths better- more understanding etc.. My teachers recommended the extensions for maths and eng to me, so yeah....there's my ego going upstream. They suggested to try 2nd extensions also- though there is no need to put myself through that, is there now?

extension units definitely improve ur uai, esp ext1 math(even more so ext2 maths, if you are up to it)

saying that, you do have to do well in them. :)

I agree with Rahul... Keep all your subjects, and later drop the subject that your least interested in.
Bio and Earth dont scale well... If your looking to drop a subject, try one of them i suggest...

Doing 11 units isnt bad... I'm doing 11 and there is no problem whatsoever...
If your a good student, which I assume you are, don't stress...

Scaling should only be a secondary factor in the subject selection process.

You should initially form a list of courses which you are likely to enjoy and are likely to do well in. Then, if you're having trouble deciding between a few of them, turn to other factors such as scaling: http://www.boredofstudies.org/scaling.php

I currently do...

English (Advanced)
English (Extension 1)
Mathematics
Mathematics (Extension 1)
Economics
Legal Studies
Geography

I plan on doing...

English (Advanced)
English (Extension 1)
English (Extension 2)
Mathematics (Extension 1)
Mathematics (Extension 2)
Economics
Legal Studies

Anyone in Year 12... is doing both Extension 2's overly stressful? I'm trying to get into Commerce/Law at Sydney University and hopefully, pick up the $5000 a year for 5 year scholarship that they offer people who get 99.95 and 100 UAIs...

But I'm not sure if that'll help me achieve that goal.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Lol... yeah, I'm more-or-less enjoying it... Legal is fun. Economics is pretty easy... Geography is fun, but I'm doing pretty badly compared to the 90's I got in Year 10 Geo... nowdays, I just rush all of the work on the board in 10 minutes (usually summarising the textbook... we have a lazy, but fun guy who looks like a dero for a teacher) and then read a book.

Still, I have pretty much no chance of doing well in HSC Geography because of a lack of motivation... it's like the teacher's lethargy has spread to me... so I'm like "meh" despite the 3rd Stage of my Senior Geography Project being due on Friday...
