Don't massively stress over enrolling.
if you can't make it to Sydney, get anyone you know from Sydney to enrol for you. Fill out the proxy before you go.

Picking subjects - enrol into anything.
you can always change them later online.
When you get your unikey which looks like ABCD1234
use that, and go into "my admin" to change your enrolment.
you can change upto 20 times electronically.

Check out subject headlines on the internet.
for things like science/engineering - you pretty much have core subjects for all of first year, so they will tell you what subjects you need to pick.

urgent few questions:

1. USYD enrolment day is from 27th of Jan to 30th of Jan.
Once you accpeted the the offer, it secures your place right?
if so then can you pick one day from those days and go to enrol?

2. Do you need to pay the 'student contribution' on that day?

3. is the 'student contribution' you gonna pay on enrolment day
for one semester or for one year?

4. i went to the website that if you pay 'studnet contribution' you get
20% discount. so will they calculate this for you?

and it checked it and my enrolment day is 22nd of Jan.
but issn't enrolment day from 27th of jan to 30 of jan?
it seems that it is the last year, 2008 ones.
are they gonna update it when the main round offer

i visited the website and i got table A which had whole lot of subject list but i still couldn't find core subjects.
can anyone tell me how they found their core subjects?
it is not shown on the handbook.

i saw from arts degree, they also offer maths,
what is the difference between differential calculus and differential calculus adv? they had equal credit points and don't they sit same exam since it is same subjects?

$8000 a year sounds correct, but you only pay one semester at a time.

There are no compulsory units in a B Arts Degree. Just decide which four subject areas you are the most interested in, and pick your units of study accordingly.


I believe the advanced mathematics units are designed for those enrolled in degrees in advanced science or advanced mathematics. If you are doing a B Arts, and you'd like to do maths, you would enrol in the non-advanced maths streams.

Is there a way to see which subjects you have enrolled for? As I have enrolled for 9 subjects this year, but I can not confirm this, as there is no tab on myadmin to check.

Ive tried to look at the 'financial information' pdf, but that only shows that I have enrolled in 6 subjects???? Which is not correct at all.

If you wait another two weeks or so the myadmin section that lets you change subjects will come up again. If you're really concerned you could try ringing the relevant faculty office to see what you're currently enrolled in.

There are entry requirements, i.e. you should have done ext 2 maths or done very well in ext 1. Personally I would take advanced if you are a hard worker, as it pays off in your marks.

Can anybody enlighten me on the enrollment process for transfers?

Provided I get the transfer, will I have to enroll in person like the 1st years, or can I just vary things online via MyUni's pre-enrollment?

You enrol in person.

Dont forget to then withdraw from your old degree and also apply for subjects you did in your old degree to be credited to your new one.

do we do that on the day of enrolment? ie. in person.

If you wish to seek credit for any previous studies, you can apply to the relevant faculty on the day you enrol, or shortly thereafter. You must produce the appropriate documentation (e.g. an academic transcript and unit of study outlines)."
