Today at school we did the half yearly exams. I did not do good in these exams and am wondering whether this is the school certificate trial exam. So is it?

Only your school can tell you that as each school sets their own assessment schedule.

well trials are usually a few weeks before the actual SC, not a few terms lol. Plus trials dont go towards your SC at all, mark wise, but the final grade you get from school such as A, B, C etc... does go to your SC, its displayed on there thats about it.

at my school we have.
-Half Yearlies
-Yearlies in term 3
-Trials a week after yearlies
-School Certificate in term 4.

Exams from Year 7 to Year 10 are written alike to the School Certificate, but are not the trials. Your trials usually begin a few weeks before the actual School Certificate. They could be your yearlies, or separate to them.
