Tree Diagrams are for the weak
Yes, for the weak. Now take a look at how many times it took you to get the right answer, compared to my first attempt. Sure it isn't exactly elegant, but it does the job for me.

1) it was a joke
2) It took me a sum total of one attempt...I posted the idea for it to help the OP, and then the solution, seeing as the OP didn't reply.
3) No working posted, how do I know?
4) It was part of the topic called "cases" in the Cambridge book..obviously they wanted you to use cases.

1) Already acknowledged in my reply
2) Well done
3) I didn't lie
4) tree diagrams also acknowledge cases.

Let me try again

c = 5
V= 4

so _C_C_C_C_C_

Ways of arranging C's is 5!/2!
Now, choose 4 places for the vowels which can be done 6C4 ways
Now arrange vowels which can be done, 4!/2! ways
sooo 5!/2!*6C4*4!/2! = 10800 ways

This is a more coherent method.

"Bob is about to hang his eight shirts in the wardrobe. He has four different styles of shirt, two identical ones of each particular style. How many different arrangements are possible if no two identical shirts are next to one another?"
864 different arrangements are possible.

I'm 99.99% sure thats the answer

no, it looks like you just multiplied a bunch of numbers to get it...is it similar to the way I did it?
