Sure, watching something is not hurting anybody so go ahead, it shouldn't be a crime to watch anything. Neither is being a pedophile against the law, sexually assaulting kids is[and should be] but being attracted to them is not.


Also, do you REALLY think that this filter will be used to JUST block child porn? stephen connroy himself said they would be blocking RC material, that isnt stuff thats neccesarily illegal. foot fetish sites for instance would most likely be blocked by this. Any sort of discussion will also be blocked, i am paraphrasing here, but in an interview he said something like "any site that promotes child porn, that promotes rape, that promotes bestiality" note: promotes. It doesnt even have to have pictures or video of it, if it simply talks about it, it is now blocked.

Oh yeah, with his silence he also basically admitted they will be blocking stuff on anorexia and i assume just about anything else the christian right doesnt aprove of.


Stephen Connroy likes to make it out as if anyone who fights against this censorship must be a pedophile who wants to watch child porn, the fact is that the child porn issue [which many believe shouldnt be illegal, but thats another debate for another day] is far from the REAL focus of this filter, which is that the government wants to control the internet and block anything they dont like. This includes fetish sites, anything depicting porn pretty much, annorexia, a few other random shit like QLD dentists [LOL!]

Our speech should never be censored, this is something that many of us strongly beleive in. This is something that our ancestors have died to protect, that they have killed for even mentioning it. If this happens, parliament house will burn and there will be widespread riots.

Lol, thats usually the case, but at my school i was one of the very few who could get around even the basic security....its painful to admit, but 6 years later i still dont know anything about making proxies......i feel deprived
