Anyone here love Athletics or PDPHE??

Like all the track and field events. Beep, etc.

E.G. High Jump, Triple, Sprints, 1600m etc.

If so what are some of your p.b's in the track and field events, if you wish say your age when you achieved the result.

For me...

High Jump- I forgt but it wasn't that great.

Long Jump- 5.03m---------15yrs

100m-12.83 seconds----16yrs

200m-25.6 Seconds (BEST RESULT EVER, INCREDIBLY proud of this aheivment)-16yrs

Standing Broad Jump- 2.2m------14 yrs

1.6km- 6.56 minutes----15yrs

Beep Test- 11.2----15 years

Agility test-14.64 ( best result in my year group not for school record tho.)-15 yrs
( had to run 10metres up then back then dodge cones for 10 metres and dodge them back down again, followed by sprinting up and then back again)-

12 minute run- 15 Laps- which isn't too shabby roughly 3.5km.

( this was a run that went for 12 minutes and we had to run from cone to cone, they were in a square formation at liek 90 metres apart)

note on 200m* At school Carnivale I got 28.5 seconds, at the next level, regional I think it was, I acheived the 25.3, a whole 3 seconds without ever training, and all because I tried to keep up with this Jamaican Kid. ABSOLUTE GUN he was.

With athletics, I've come to learn that you should never EVER trust someone when they tell you their time. It only counts if it's a result from an official competition.

true that, 100m times are especially dodgey, 800m and up is usually okay though.

i guess mine are a bit dodgey too, but my 400 was FAT.
guess not too many keen athletes on here =(.

i got 11.98 in yr 9 during district. solely because i had a slow start so hard to keep up with everyone.

Love Atheletics and exceled, but gave it up recently just because our school is so strict on training and such and it stabs into my studies, which is obvously a priority.

My last time I acutally tried in the Atheletics carnival and went on to District and then state was 2007.

Shot put: 9.9m - 2nd Place, went to district, beat guys three times the size of me
Long Jump: 5.9m - 1st place, went to district (2nd place), went on to state... It was like 7th haha.
100m Sprint: 15.something seconds - 1st place - Went to District, came 4th.

100m - 11.14 (17yrs)

200m - 22.63 (17yrs)

400m - 51.01 (16 yrs)

800m - 2.04 (16yrs)

Haven't ran a fast 400 or 800 this year, but those first two times are from the recent CHS champs at homebush and the 400 time is from NSW All Schools, got me silver last year. The 800 time is from an interclub meet in Canberra.
