Hey,

I'm sitting the Macquarie unitest on the 7th of December, and was just wondering if there is any sort of preparation i can do for the test. I know the uni says there is no preparation required, but is there anything at all i can do to prepare?

Sample questions are here:uniTEST - Home

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Generally threads don't need bumping after only three hours. :p

And nup, there's really nothing you can do if you're sitting it in less than a week. Try to get some sleep... Perhaps look through the layout of the exam.

Oh, a friend of mine suggested that I do IQ tests, do you think that will be of any help?

No. An IQ test is essentially an assessment tool and not one of learning. I think it would be pointless, really, unless you studied how they worked.

I remember doing it last yr. The paper is a behemoth. Remember to work quickly and precisely.
Some questions have funny cartoons and ask you to analyse it (all are MC), some are math questions (not the kind you can study for). When they say you cannot prepare for it they really mean it. I don't think an IQ test will help you much, the questions asked are more applied ones that you dont find in iq tests.

Anyway, just relax and good luck!
