if its not assumed knowledge, don't do it. yes, it might be an opportunity, but bridging courses do take valuable time as well as money. if you do decide to change in the future, can't you always take up the course then?
as for any advantages it presents in the future...to be honest, unlikely to be much.
Yeh good point, thats what i think aswell.
what im really after in this thread are reasons to persuade my parents, who really want me to do this course, that it's not suitable. they say the money isnt an issue and if i mention 'time' they flip and go on about 'its just one month for your entire life' and 'its just you wanting more time to socialise'.
i've told them i can take the course later but their arguement to that is im not doing anything in the next month (kinda like strike while the iron is hot situation)
bridging courses are for 'short term' (like they not that advantagous for my life unless i was picking a physics course (which im not))
sinophile:
i accepted med science at unsw..assumed is maths and chem (which ive done) and recommended is bio ( which ive also done)
another point my parents had is to broaden my exposure to science...???? then again their point is "just incase"
edit:thanks for the help guys, keep it coming pleasee
