you don't see the point do you, employers won't continue to hire people in a recession anyways, coz it costs to much to train a person, it's a sad fact. So if work choices are put back in place, guess what happens, unfair dismissals start to reoccur as firms may see this as a good opportunity to unload some of it's burdens, espcially when they can forget about paying fair compensation to employees.

Hence rudd> abbott
+1

remove the minimum wage and unions and those issues do not occur

and why do u call them unfair dismissals is it unfair for an employer to fire an employee because he can't afford to pay him and having him their is crippling the business?
we're not talking hypothetical - the reality is tony abbott = workchoices.

unfair dismissals... funny how you use an example that makes it look harmless.
if the employer can't afford the employee than the employee should have rights as to how and when they are dismissed. that is just an example, not THE EXAMPLE.

everyone, dont be fooled by scuba and his buttering up of the truth.

well last time i looked at the electorate results i think my stereotyping is justified

and it means you disagree about my economic knowledge yet provide no argument to why it is wrong until u do this we can not move on from this one topic
it is justified only to the extent of the stereotype, which is an exaggeration - like saying everyone is city australia votes liberal and everyone in country votes labor.

again, pathetic - your godly knowledge of economics must be better than assisting in making stereotypes that don't even make sense. if not, gtfo.

What Social freedom? Cough Cough more like public indecent exposure freedom

Also I disagree with your sarcasm. A flexible labour market and economic freedom= a laisse faire system, A laisse faire system is where a government choses not to step in and make the market fairer, this benefits big bosses. Hence through this conservative approach of helping big businesses and not stepping in to regulate market forces. The Libral governent is being conservative and therefore right wing.
agreed.

It is almost certain that Kevin Rudd will win the next election as long as Tony Abbott remains leader of the Liberal Party. The majority of voters do not find him a credible choice for Prime Minister.

preferred PM is still overwhelmingly Rudd.
And when voters get to the booths, they are thinking "Rudd, or Abbott?"
and polls are polls, this far out from the election they are more an indicator of the current mood around the government and not usually indicative of voting intentions.

polls suggest
otherwise
Not for long. Looks like they are doing a policy dump, to get the bad polls now, then play politics leading up to the election.
I don't think a government has lost thier first election in quite a while, unless rudd makes a giant fuck up, I really don't see abbott winning the election.
