a = 13/23 b = -14/23
Oh fuck -9-8=-17

No not really, the length of the question just confuses people
I topped maths in our year last year and the year before, I'm fine. I've just never had to do the question before and didn't realise how easy it was, is all. When I tried to do a, for example, I wrote it as a fraction, rather than "1 divided by...". Writing it the other way, I understand it and now have that experience to refer back to. And I'm not sure why I asked for b, they were just in the same section lol.
Besides, I'm doing 3 unit and am currently coming first, still.

And you have a fraction to put in for x, always divide, and then if it's simpler to put it back into one fraction have it as a fraction. A lot easier on the eyes, and a lot easier to work out

If you have super algebra skillz then you can do:
(x+1/x)^2 -2
Better than one 30cm width of working out

It wasn't 30 cm on my page, more like 10, but it's ugly as
