Ext English: Tess D'Urbervilles (I don't there's really an AOS, we're just reading it to look at its values, context and everything)

You mean, you get to study George Orwell's 1984? I'm very jealous of you, because it is apparently a fantastic novel... which I am yet to get my hands on to read. I have too much on at the moment to get into it.

Yes, I was so happy cause it was on my to read list after reading Animal Farm :D My English class totally got the best book imho.

George Orwell's 1984 - best novel offered in the English syllabus (imo it would be if it were still part of module C) =D

I did Orwell's 1984 last year, i thought it was a pretty good book :)

I tried reading Animal Farm but gave up even though it's a small book. I think it's because I didn't know enough about when the story was written.
