Anyone planning on doing engineering in UTS or UNSW?

Pretty much the only preference in my mind really. Really dig the idea of moving to canberra and i'm realistic in the fact that l probably wouldn't get into USYD/UNSW.

Have you considered other interstate unis? Queensland is decent, so is Melbourne. If you REALLY want to experience college life away from your parents, go to Tasmania. You're separated from Sydney by a state and a body of water.

1. UNSW Medicine

Preferences for VTAC:
1. Monash MBBS (CSP)
2. Monash MBBS (Bonded)
3. B Biomedical Science UMelb

Preferences for SATAC:
1. UAdelaide MBBS

Preferences for QTAC:
1. UQ MBBS/MedSci (Prov entry)

Note: only do that ^ after you get your UMAT results back and are confident you will get in.

but everyone says its a bad uni and isnt "prestigious enough"

Haha, the reason they give out those scholarships is to try and rope you into their uni, cos they're desperate for smart students to raise their prestige.

It depends what course you want to do.
For some courses/careers, what uni you go to really does affect whether you get a job over other grad students.

the person at my school who was dux of yr 11 also got this. but he like accelerated 4 unit in yr 11 while still playing like 3 sports and coming first in all his year 11 subjects, hes definitely not going to UWS lol.
