lol i've done 109 past papers including HSC and trials from a bunch of schools (40 for 2U 28 chem 25 physics 16 senior science)

and i bet you i'll still do shit!

but in some cases, you'd have to try to mock exam conditions (no computers allowed in exams), so you'd get a hard copy of the paper and sit down in a place all alone without any technology except a calc, pen and working out paper

From trials till now. I've probably done about 60 maths papers. (3 & 4 unit included) In saying that, I usually skip question 8 in most 4u papers, since I couldnt do any of them when i was studying for my trials.

oh and working off a laptop just burns my eyes (esp if i have to stare at it for approx 3 hrs) and msn, facebook are counter productive
+ i just hand my teacher a usb full of papers that I want and he'll print them all for me. He has almost printed 100 papers now, with solutions.

I generally focus more on doing past Q6 and Q7 of 3U rather than the whole exam. I generally get atleast 90% from Q1-5 and get like 2/3 of the marks in Q6 and half in Q7 very dependent on the year though. Overall, I've probably done about 20 maths papers since before trial till now.

Past papers are not the best form of studying for every subject.

Past papers isn't really a form of studying per se. You revise notes then consolidate the knowledge through them.

IMO past papers are easiest way to study if you make sure you really understand the answer to each question. That being said I have done 55 past papers, 20 2u maths, 20 3u maths, 10 chem, 5 physics.
I plan to do much more....

Nowadays I tend to look online for trial 4U Q6-8s and I try to do them, but I do HSC papers under exam conditions

I have only done about 7 for 2U but repeated 2008-2010 twice, about the same for 3U, 4 for Physics so far, 4 for Chem, 2 for English and 2 for Bio. Not really going overboard because I think I am doing relatively well in everyone that I do. Quality > Quantity. Learn from mistakes and repeat the most recent. That is what I do
