I'm a forty year old woman and I have applied to uni through UAC. Since I am a mature aged person, would I be able to compete with HSC students? Is my chance of getting into Uni high or low? By the way, I'm currently studying diploma course at TAFE which is to be completed the end of this year. Thanks,

There are a wide range of alternative pathways to university. What determines admission depends on which university you are applying for and which course. Contact the university in question. HSC or equivalent isn't necessary.

Its hard to get in without one though. My aunty tried and she only managed to get in through open universities and she only wanted to do an arts degree majoring in education.
