yeh pc. rumors are that steam is in last minute talks with EA to get it on their platform. issue was with the 3rd party selling of DLC which steam doesn't like.

i hope steam gets it, battlelog and origin are complete trash. the game is amazing. few small things i would tweak though, like bolt action rifles should be 1 shot kills to chest and jets should fly faster and anti-air engineers are too powerful.

good thing since original battlefield was the best
bf2 was bettter imo.

Also I find that the market has been over-saturated with FPS, after BF3 I will probably be turned off from FPS games for a long time.

But BF3 isn't like any other FPS, that's the reason it's a 'revolutionary' game. Like when BF 1942 came out.

Explain how it is revolutionary
CLAIMED to be revolutionary by the developers during the EB expo on saturday.
I can sort of see why though, it's unlike all the other generic FPS games.
Insanely massive maps
complete destructability
use of jets, choppers, tanks, etc like you haven't seen before
Character motion and movement made using the systems and engine by fifa12. Which means the movements are much more realistic and smooth.
There are other things too, but i cbf

So maybe it's not ACTUALLY revolutionary, but it sure as hell stands above any other FPS currently on the market, or any that are coming out in the near future *cough* mw3 *cough*

Samesies with chambered rounds disappearing after a tactical reload, after a tactical reload you should have 31 rounds instead of 30. I can't imagine it being too hard to implement, e.g.
I know this post was ages ago, but they did implement it ;)

I played the beta on PS3 and PC, get it on PC if you can, the consoles can't handle it that well, worse graphics, average sometimes choppy FPS + only 1280x720, 1920x1080+ brings a whole new world of awesome.

1. Insanely large maps aren't revolutionary, they're just a size improvement
2. Red Faction games already had fantastic destructability. Even if BF3's is better, this is again an imporvement rather than revolutionary.
3. Like you've never seen before? Clarify
4. Graphics, physics, better engine is not revolutionary just a step forward.

Sure it may be a fantastic game, but that doesn't mean that the words "revolutionary" can be bandied around just because its good, it has to mean its revolutionary. Of course the devs would say its "revolutionary", its in their self-interest to market the game.

lol m8, don't nitpick on what you want to read. I did not actually imply I thought it was revolutionary. But i will say that it's the best first person shooter coming out.
If you don't agree, you're a communist.

As for no.3, I meant that we haven't seen this level of detail go into flying jets, especially not when it came to multiplayer.
Call of duty have sure as hell not implemented the use of tanks, jets and choppers in multiplayer, only the single player mode.

hahaha yeah the new Bioshock does look pretty awesome, but i wouldn't REALLY see that as a FPS. Either way, both games look awesome.

I'm actually moreso looking forward to AC: Revelations and Skyrim. Epicness within these 2 months.
