overall i liked the exam!
preety easy in terms of long response (5marks+) i was expecting something to do with CGSLEW and something to do with volcanic impacts on climate, also the past hsc papers had harder long repsonse questions. I rekon overall it was way easier than trials and trials were so so but i did shit cause i dint read the question and had a cold. but what nearly through me off was:
multiple choice q: a
-bout the stratagraphic sequence since i thought a/b where both right!
-the question about the finch! im not to sure about that one

and the last q which it took me 10 mins to deconstruct about australian natural/earth process! but overall everything was preety gud.

Btw i did introduced species (which looked significacntly easier than the rest.)

Im expecting between 80-90max or higher.

Not too bad actually. n_n I was expecting for way worse, haha. Some of the multi-choice threw me a little and a little guess work here and there. But overall a pretty good paper, short responses were pretty easy to deal with. n_n Oceanography questions were a blessing n_n Really happy with it. :)

I thought it was pretty good some questions i wasnt sure what they wanted like with the 7 mark. but overall it was ok they didnt ask questions on stuff that i thought they would, they seem to miss a fair few of sections.

it was different than past exam papers. the question that got me thinking was where you had to draw and label the low and high silica crap

i just put an x labeling it as mid ocean ridge at the bottom left, its close to the x that was originally there
for convergent i placed an x at the upper right of the line cause convergent boundaries have more silica in them

I thought A and B were rboth right too, for both stratigraphic range of fossils and the unit name's matched up. i just went B becuase it lined up beter
The finch question stumped me too so I had a crack at C.
That seven marker was so hard to interpret - I just said something about low fertile soils, environmental flows and what not.

It was A, B was too general, they all lined up for like, 5 or 6 different rock types, whereas A was specific (I think that's the way it was.)

Yeah it wasn't too bad.
hmm some of the multiple choice were a little weird, for the stratigraphic sequence one I put (a) and the finch one I put (a) as well
what did people do for the first multiple choice question? was it a fold or fault? and also number 3?
As for the 7 marker I just put in a lot of what I knew for caring for the country, it wasn't really specific, so I'm wondering how they will mark it
and yess introduced species was good, loved the 6 marker

The finch question was C. It's the whole principal of natural selection, those with variation live and reproduced. :D
I think I remember the 7 mark question, was that the one all about how the better understanding or some shit?

well everything but the multiple choice was good!..I'm kinda scared bout the 7 marker though..coz im not sure wat u have to talk about..but then introduced species was easy..should get 20+/25 for that..and the short answers were reasonable to score some marks..wat i hope is..i didnt fail multiple choice!..if thats decent i guess im on a better roll :)

yea most of the diagram based one took me along time to figure..especially the deep focus earthquake and andesite volcano one and pH tolerance question with the different animals in it..

I thought it was a pretty decent test. Different from other exam papers. The 7 marker was a bit sketchy about ecosystems, im glad i also do geography so i used my knowledge from that as well. Multiple choice was mega bitchy... so many annoying graphs to interpret. Oceanography was great! i hardly knew the whole topic but i could answer all those questions! hopefully will get a band 6 :)

Yeah, totally agree about the multi-choice. I was checking over my answers at the end and was like "well I at least know 8/9 of them are right" most of the others were educated guesses. D: I also did Oceanography, I thought it was brilliant! So thankful for such nice questions! I hardly knew anything about the topic and was so panicked in the morning by all the weird things they could ask, but thankfully they asked nice things. Happy danced during reading time! :D :D

But yeah, those multiple choice questions were fluttery, especially the stratigraphical sequence one and the finch one. D: Oh well, hopefully some of my guesses were right!
