I write the number 7 with the extra dash in the middle and I didn't really notice it until my friend pointed it out today... So it got me wondering, how do you write your 7s?

P.S. I hope this isn't in the wrong section. Sorry if it is :(

Dammit, I read the word 'Dash' and I thought of Rainbow Dash <_<

But no, I write my 7 as it appears on your screen. We're not living in 1955 anymore.

I write it with the dash in the middle. I've been doing it for the past couple of years now. If I don't do it, it looks naked.

I don't do the dash for 7, I do for z though.
Same. I saw my friend doing it once and I thought it looked cool so I've been writing is like that for a year or 2 now. Didn't know anyone else did it :D

In maths I need the dash in my z's or they just end up looking like a 2 :p

But dont you just write the z with sharper lines? Helps me distinguish between a z and 2 fine

I do it without the dash because it's quicker. I probably should though because my writing is atrocious.

I experimented with putting a dash in my z's for the HSC... but uhh, didn't go too well. What I eventually ended up doing is making the z's sharper so I never got them confused with 2's.

When I used to write 'x' for the variable, I'd get confused until a girl in my Year 7 maths class showed me the cursive style of x. After a bit of shying away from it because I thought it looked silly, I eventually succumbed and... yeah.

For "x" I used to kinda do it like a baackwards c next to a normal c, so I had a curvy x
