Maths in focus (1 Viewer)

My school uses Maths in focus, but I have cambridge too, and personally, it EXPLAINS things much better, whereas MIF will just show examples, with a few lines of explanations.

Just a quick story about maths in focus- At our school, people always steal textbooks. There have been 20 MIF books sitting unattended in a maths room since the start of the year. There are still 20 now...

I'm not saying its not good (I've never used it) but from what others say, its probably too simple. I would agree with all of the above and strongly recommend Cambridge.

Do you guys have Mr Palmer?

Our school has numerous math texts, we use MIF. It's plain...

Normally we just borrow maths books from library for the year and never return them. They don't really care as long as you return them after HSC.

I've got Mr. Kilroy (ironically his first name is des which is the first three letters of my username- coincidence). I think Rivalry has Palmer though

Yes I have Mr Palmer.
I like the way he teaches even though I'm in the bottom class. (Feels gud to be at the top/close to the top of the class though)

Do they grade all of the classes? I thought (maybe wrongly) that there were just two top classes and then the rest were mixed.

yeah I guess so....
But looking at most of my class mates hmmm.....

Some of my class mates are alright... I'm a stupid import compared to the other genius imports as well....

And I'm screwed for English due to Curic but whatever.

That makes sense... I know with our classes, there are theoretically two equal top classes but our class always beats the other class by a few marks (I'll just take all the credit even though it isn't because of me).

Yeah, go for it. If you want, I'll try and find my exams and assignments from Year 11 eco if you want those.

Not all their explanations are good, but overall it is ok. I bought mine from e-bay for $20 brand new so check on there before buying it from a retail store
