Re: The Official Football Thread

Suppose. Or a neutral. I just think they're fascinating.

I hate how I heard FIFA want to do "other measures" to not have penalty kicks to decide a game anymore. Like they were considering like taking players off every 5 minutes or counting number of corners or least yellow cards...

Penalty kicks... the drama, the excitement. It's "pure". It involves the point of the game - to score a goal.

But I agree - it sucks to be on the losing team. I remember when Man U won the Champions League in 2008? Frigging John Terry just had to slip.
that would be hectic. take a player off every 5 mins and we will see good counter-attacking end to end football which would be brilliant

I just think it'd be a bit silly, tbh.

Like they'd stop the game and then one player has to come off... it's just unnecessary delay. Football is a flowing sport, it's not stop-start like other sports.

Boy, it really did all go wrong last night.

Just have to hope that Blackburn and QPR can really outdo themselves tonight.

Chelsea already 3-0 up against QPR 19 minutes in. Even Torres has scored.

You know it's that bad for the other team when Torres scores.

Torres scored another.

Edit: And another.

A hat-trick for Torres.

hoping for a city victory tomoro morning.
Yes definitely.

A Manchester United win will effectively end the title race and I crave a memorable finish. Manchester City all the way for this one.

Tevez to score.

Not much to say other than congrats to newcastle. Better to lose this one than the cup final in the weekend

Re: The Official Football Thread

absolute spekky from cisse for that second goal. the best buy of the season, jelavic would be the next best
With the budget you guys have, you have little room for error in the transfer market so I'm chuffed to see you guys get a value for money signing like Jelavic.

Tiote was injured for quite a bit after Mikel ran into him with an elbow.
