Ok, so i know this sounds pretttty stupid ( cuz im in yr 11 and adv =-=) but what exactly is a thesis??
ive never actually been explicitly taught what a thesis is, although im probably already writing it in my essays, i just haven't been told what im doing is a thesis... idk...
ive tried searching online but its kinda confusing ... ( so fail =-=)
so can i get a explanation from mah freinds in BOS

The introduction.

You introduce the module you're going to be talking about, introduce your texts, and then introduce your concepts.

The introduction. Throughout the essay you should be linking every point you make to it, in order to prove/justify it. That is why English has advantages, because in an essay your thesis may be absolute bullshit but if you sufficiently justify it you can't be wrong.

I remember for an essay we did in class the marker wrote "interesting perspective you have" (i.e What's this bullshit) but I still got full marks because it was justified throughout my response.
