A debate I had a while ago with a friend. Went on for a good hour or so.

Thoughts?

I want to see people tearing each other apart and at each other's throats over this topic.

I imagine a pentagon as being the protagonist, whilst the hexagon is the antagonist. The prefix pent seems to be more heroic whilst hex seems to be devious.

If this was a tournament, pentagon would win, because a pentagon looks more like a champion compared to a hexagon. Like, a pentagon is strong and seems like the overall best. The hexagon looks like that kid that would win everything super duper fast, but when he gets to the final he gets defeated by a more strategic pentagon.

So I'm going with pentagon > hexagon.

I like HEXagon because it as HEX in it...for you DotA players...

I don't like PENtagon because it has PEN in it...which reminds me of penis...

Hexagon is obviously better because it has more sides.

I had a primary school teacher who didnt know what a pentagon was - we told her it was a 5 sided shape but she had to check with the teacher next door for clarification.

Obviously americans think pentagon is better, as they name their defence centre after it. For me i dont give a toss, i get enough
pleasure from each shape.

Pentagon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hexagon simply because of the Golden Ratio.

hahahaha

true

but like a personified pentagon is much friendlier imo.
If anything, Pentagons win because they tend to be more sharp (internal angle 108 degrees represent) whereas hexagons tend to be more slow and blunt (internal angle 120 degrees).

Even though I agree with you that pentagons win, my reasoning is the opposite in a way.

To me, a pentagon is strong, heroic even. A hexagon is actually very fast-paced and cunning, and will back-stab you at every chance.

Hence why pentagons > hexagons.
