So i know you get to change pref. after the hsc exams are done, but does this mean i can add a course i hadn't previously listed?

Yep. You can change them around whenever you like - including after the exams, after results and between the different rounds.

Hi, You can change your preferences and add new courses to your preference list up until Friday 4th January. Friday 4th January is the last day you can change your preferences for consideration in the main round of offers, which will be on Wednesday 16th January.
