every extra bit of study you do will count significantly, so a day off can be detrimental, depends on how well you are prepared. Some people know the syllabus VERY well after trial so only need to do past papers, some people still need to work on their dotpoints.

you decide.

nope. a break day is good to give your mind a break, and you end up being 10 times more productive and GET THINGS DONE- thats the main thing, not how many hours you study, but how much you gain from what you studied.

Unless you're very, very unmotivated I wouldn't suggest taking one at this point.

It depends - if you are on top of your work, then the rest might be a very good idea. If you arent on top of things, then it might be harmful. One think I think people forget with study and school work, is that rest can sometimes be more beneficial than study itself.

Sometimes you study enough that you just feel like (AH screw this crap)
Then you just give up i guess... I do that sometimes..

How do you guys cope with this situation (if you experience it too) and how do i stop it ?

Absolutely RIGHT! i know people who study maybe 10 hours a day and get poor results (from trials) because they dont take breaks and hence study inefficiently or they might call 10 hours at the Library ---> study. If you can get 4hours a day of productive study then your on the right track to maybe taking a "day off"

Would I recommend a break day?

Personally I wouldn't considering the momentum leading up to an exam can do you a world of good. If you're interested in taking a "break" though, choose a day where you commit to studying for half the usual time spent. It keeps content fresh in your mind while maintaining a modicum of sanity leading up to the exams.

Personally I reckon it would be better to take regular breaks in between study than a whole day off. Like after you do a paper, go for a one hour walk or a swim or something- it will clear your mind big time
