Only two problems (I think):

1. What did people write for the social structure of a developed city?
2. Can someone explain what exactly a linkage is?

Yes those were the only two that I had trouble with. I wrote about the different types of income earners and where abouts they lived in Sydney.
For the linkages question I didnt have a clue but I wrote about how accommodation was necessary and transport too and how the airline companies recommend car hire to the destination and also accommodation, I was stumped but thought I should write something.

Also If people have their multiple choice answers feel free to share as I want to know which ones I got right and wrong.

Yeah, I wrote about different income areas in London and made up some bullshit for the linkages.

I wrote my multiple choice answers in the other thread if you wanna compare them.

I didn't like the skills very much, the graphs weren't all that easy to interpret, I really liked the extended responses though did the mega cities one and the economic activity!

Yeah I didn't exactly understand what they meant about social structure, so I did the exact same thing as you tarce94 haha.... linkages is about how the enterprise connects with the local and global community. My enterprise was a resort. I said that is it linked to the clobal community due to its affiliation with Accor, a massive French tnc and then I went small scale and said it was linked to the local community through its sources of local products for the restaurant.

Overall I thought it was a straight forward exam. I thought the questions in the last section were good. I chose 25 and 26.

Ahh that makes sense Dash8 hopefully ill get a few marks for that one:S That was worth 6 though wasnt it?
Yeah I chose 15 and 26, I was strapped for time though, I could have written so much more for the essays if I had more time.

Alsoo there was a question on one urban dynamic for a regional or urban place. Is exurbanisation right?

I talked about social geography for the social structure question (inequality, multicultural etc)
For the linkages question I just talked about internal and external linkages lol
I also hated the cross-section thing that we had to draw. Was a waste of time

My predictions for mega cities and impacts of economic activity were correct, so that was good.

Well it's a dynamic so it will be fine as long as you only talked about it in the context on one suburb/town

Sweet, yeah I just did it for Sydney.

Yeahhh that cross section was so bad I wouldnt have got full marks for it as I just guesstimated in the middle of the two points. What did you get for gradient and stuff, I forget the questions.

for the social structure thing i spoke about classes nd how distinct classes are emerging throughout sydney due to flows - flows of wealth, employment and education. then i spoke about geographic polarisation and how affluent residents are residing in specific areas of the city and how the poorer are in other parts. and then about spatial inequalities and the nature of sydneys multicultural landscape. but i really dont know what i do half the time, im off my face.

Hahah you sound like you wrote a shitload, I was tempted to write about multiculturalism but I didnt have time. I also didnt use specific exams I just said North, East etc as I dont know any names of places in Sydney.

How could it be 27.7? That means it would go 27.7 metres up for every metre across?

I'm not sure if I'm right but I got -0.0405 (I think). It had to be negative because it was going downhill and I thought the calculation was -135 (rise) divided by 3333 metres (run).

gradient = rise/run

so it was like 1:27

I'm pretty sure it can't be negative lol

I'm not saying my answer is right (I never get these ones right) but gradients can be negative. It started at 185 metres high (the mountain) and goes down to 50 metres high (the lighthouse), correct? So, the rise is -135.

Well it would be 185-50, which equals 135

No, that's not the rise. It's exactly the same as if it was graphed, like in maths. If the y-axis (height, in this case) is 135 and goes down to 50, the gradient is negative, because the height is reduced, as the x-axis (run) is increased.
