Remember, it's also your external exam that counts.

I'm thinking you would want to aim for:

MX2- ~3rd
Eng Adv-Top 10
Chem- Top 5
Phys- Top 5
Bio-Top 5

You cannot really tell, say if you are ranked first for all subjects stated above, if you stuff up your externals, you won't get 97 or higher ATAR.

^^^ Story of my life :/ (lol I didn't really study for my externals, just couldn't be bothered, but Thank God I got 92+ ATAR)

And my subjects were English, Chem, Phys, MX1 and MX2

MX2: any rank, just make sure you get above 85 as your final HSC mark
Eng: top 5
Chem: top 5
Bio: top 6
Physics: top 3

Out of these subjects you really need to try and top atleast one of them to be on the safe side..

congrats on your ATAR :)
and yeh haha, but externals can also pull ur mark up if u do really well, so they can be good and bad ;)

idk, i think physics top 3 seems about right because physics can mess u up in hsc and pull some really random stuff, and not everyone can deal with that, so i guess top 4 would be a good aim for our class? :)
