My atar is 91 and I put 1st preference as

UMACQ b.applied finance/b.laws which has a cut of 96+

and I heard law is competitive.

SO im guessing I want to remove that from my preference? because I really dont wanna waste a spot on my 9 preferences for something that I know I will not make.

The better question is do you want to do it :/ it's never really a wast of space unless you don't want to do it and its taking up space

Unless you know for certain that your ATAR won't meet the cutoffs for your 8 other preferences, how is using 1 preference for your desired course wasting a spot?

put what you really want to do on the first few... then put your plan b's and c's further down your preference list...

I actually got an ATAR of 91 and I made it into Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of laws program @ MQ in 2012 second semester. I am not sure about the main round for 2013, but you should try at least!

It is competitive as in 1st semester there is around 200-400 undergraduate law students at MQ, with most receiving an ATAR of atleast low 90's from what I hear from my university peers.
